On this day back in 2014, the Norwich Lanes were crowned a Great British High Street of the Year.
The Lanes were nominated for this prestigious award by the Norwich Business Improvement District (BID).
In the following months, the Norwich Lanes Association (NLA) ran a marketing campaign full of window art, creative shop signage and then filled the Lanes with #GBHighSt carved pumpkins on Halloween.
Organisers then saw off strong competition in the final stages from both the Glasgow Style Mile and Bristol’s Park Street, to pick up the award, on November 8th 2014.
Sone 10 years later and the Lanes are very much still here.
Come and take a stroll and see all the new independent businesses, in the 10th anniversary of the Great British High Street of the Year.
