Founded in 2009, Norwich Film Festival is part of the international festival circuit and a celebration of independent film. Through its open submissions process, the festival champions local, national and global talent providing a platform in Norwich for new and established filmmakers. NFF is a BAFTA-qualifying and BIFA-recognised short film festival.
A registered charity, the festival is run by a small executive team of 10 volunteers plus Trustees and Patrons. Since 2009, NFF has screened 1,400+ short films and hosted 250+ events. Films premiered at NFF have gone on to win at the BAFTAs and Oscars, and feature at Sundance, Tribeca, and SXSW.
NFF is proud to connect local audiences with world-class filmmaking. The festival champions creativity, shines a spotlight on innovation, and above all creates a space where filmmakers and film lovers come together.
