The Book Hive’s infamous yuletide sale returns! Brilliant ‘old’ new books at astonishing prices, served up with lashings of mulled wine. What’s not to like? Join them from 6pm (to approx 8pm) in the Norwich shop on Wednesday 4th December.
And don’t forget…
Since 2021, The Book Hive has sought to establish an annual tradition of festive hijinks, inspired by a glittering nugget of Norwich history — in 1440, a plucky merchant called John Hadman draped himself in silks, oyster shells and tinsel, crowned himself “King of Christmas”, and led a riotous procession through our Fine City.
So each year, they seek out and crown a new King or Queen Christmas — decided by an oyster shell decorating competition!
This year’s winner will be ceremoniously sworn-in during the late-opening Christmas sale on the 4th — before doling out mince pies to their subjects. A suitably merry coronation amongst the books, bargains, and booze!
