Voodoos Jazz & Soul Showcase

Showcasing the best and brightest in new soul, jazz, and groove with a regional focus.
Beat Fiasco
Beat Fiasco delivers an electrifying fusion of nu-jazz, drum and bass, breakbeat, trip-hop, and soul grooves interwoven with Afrobeat influences. Inspired by their love for Ezra Collective, Comet is Coming, GoGo Penguin, and Mammal Hands, the group has developed their own unique take on these genres. Driven by a deep passion for dance, dub, and drum and bass, Beat Fiasco channels maximum energy into their live performances, powered by real musicians playing in real time.
Rooted in the 90s dance scene—including techno, dub, and trip-hop—the band has forged a distinctive style they call “Jazz Punk.” Their sound is characterized by frenetic, edgy breakbeats, cavernous wobble basslines, and roaring saxophone melodies.
Audiences are invited to strap in for one of the loudest, fastest jazz bands on the scene today!
LFay
LFay, a 22-year-old lyricist and vocalist from rural Norfolk, blends old-school hip-hop with urban jazz, drawing inspiration from icons like Amy Winehouse, Little Simz, Etta James, MF Doom, and Notorious B.I.G. Her sound, which incorporates elements of new-wave jungle and drum and bass, bridges genres and captivates polarized audiences.
Having garnered significant industry attention, LFay’s music has received multiple plays on BBC Radio 1 and earned her a support slot with American hip-hop legends Arrested Development. With standout performances at major festivals and showcase events, she’s poised for a breakthrough year. Upcoming plans include new releases, exciting features, and a completely reimagined live show.
The future is undeniably bright for this rising star.
