As the lockdown eases it’s never been more important to shop with independent retailers and reignite the local economy.
Not only are these businesses the life-blood of our high streets, towns and villages, they will also play a major part in how this city fares for years to come.
It’s not just about the sentiment however, as the maths stack up nicely too. The fact is that for every £1 spent with an independent business, between 50-70p circulates back into the local economy. Chain stores, supermarkets and online businesses, return just 5p in the pound.
The Lanes retailers reopen from Monday 15th June. This is a fine, unique city. Shop with the independents and let’s keep it that way.
