A one-day celebration of this truly unique area, the Norwich Lanes Summer Fayre 2025 takes place this Sunday 13th July (11am – 5pm) and the weather is looking perfect.

What's On

St Benedicts Street

One big, long, spacious street, full of fascinating market stalls, delicious street food, live music and live art.

Upper St Giles

This beautiful street will be stacked with stalls, a live swing dancing show and lots of wonderful food and drink.

St Gregory's Green

Flint Hair’s sounds for a summer’s day! Expect Balearic, Disco, Latin, House and Electrónica. With Conor O’Brien, Raver’s Wine Bar, Typo, and Tadi the Great.

Pottergate

Yet more great stalls serving up a mix of tempting dishes, drinks and unique gifts, along with additional DJ sets.

St John Maddermarket

Now home to a large vintage market, you’ll find stall after stall of wonderful clothing, spanning several decades of different styles.

Bridewell Alley

A market celebrating local illustrators, printmakers and artists, all selling their wares. DJs in the churchyard and free entry to the excellent Museum of Norwich too.

Exchange Street

A nice, quiet area with no traffic on the day, and your chance to explore Jarrolds department store.

Bedford Street

Home of the much-loved Dick’s Ding Dong. Live music, delicious food and much, much more besides.

The Maddermarket Theatre

A relaxing spot to rest your weary legs. Take in tea or a nice refreshing drink with friends, or quietly recharge your social battery.

Museum of Norwich at the Bridewell

Bridewell Alley

FREE ENTRY on the day to this beautifully curated museum. The history of the industries that helped build Norwich, in one spectacular place.

Plough Fest 2025

St Benedicts Street

An all-day party at the Plough, featuring Soul and Hip-Hop DJs 1901 sound. East Dough will be serving pizzas from the beer garden and the amazing Plough team serving drinks all day!

Flint Hair Soundsystem

St Gregory's Green | 11am - 5pm

Flint Hair selecting sounds for a summer’s day! With DJs Conor O’Brien, Raver’s Wine Bar, Typo, and Tadi The Great

The Norfolk & Suffolk Swing Dancers

Upper St Giles 12-1pm

Several of the region's most formidable swing dancers join forces for the day and take to the tarmac on Upper St Giles.

Norwich Medieval Armoured Combat

St Laurence's Church | St Benedicts Street

Watch steel clash in St Laurence’s Church as knights compete in the full-contact sport of Buhurt.

Live Music

Across the Lanes 11am - 5pm

The Arlene Trio, The Mind Melders adn Webster and Davis Hill Country all play live.

Openhaus

Listen to exhilarating live music in the confines of a cellar with those art-rock mavericks, and local favourites, The Neutrinos.

NCCS

A selling exhibition by members of the Norfolk Contemporary Craft Society.

Ali Bongo Stage

St John Maddermarket

Live DJs dropping big beats all day long on the Ali Bongo stage. Plus, the return of the famous prize wheel, ‘Every spin is a win!’

Strangers' Hall Museum

4 Charing Cross

FREE ENTRY on the day. This former mer- chant’s house dates back to 1320. Each room accurately repre- sents the periods of this beautifully pre- served building’s past.

Art Sale at Moosey

Labour in Vain Yard

Loads of local artists selling original works – all at great prices. Come and peruse unique work on paper, ceramics, canvases prints and more.

The Holloway

19b St Lawrence Steps | 9am - 11pm

A series of folk ensemble performances throughout the day. The basement opens at 6pm for a gig featuring Norwich’s finest young rock ‘n’ roll groups.
