Norwich Institute for Language Education (NILE) welcomes hundreds of English language teachers to Norwich each year for language and methodology programmes held at its course centre in the Norwich Lanes.
However, the classroom experience is only one aspect of the programme. As part of the social programme, NILE organises events and outings designed to help participants learn about and enjoy Norwich and its surroundings. Participants are strongly encouraged to engage with the local community during their stay.
NILE also collaborates with a network of homestay hosts who provide an immersive experience and valuable insight into British life. Hosts frequently express their enjoyment of the cultural exchange, with many guests forming lifelong friendships.
For those interested in a career in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), NILE offers the CELTA course, the initial certificate from Cambridge English (part of the University of Cambridge). As part of this programme, free English classes are available for pre- and upper-intermediate students.
